Musical Visiting Companions is a project that explores the health-promoting and well-being-enhancing potential of music by matching artists with participants in visiting companion services for a musical encounter in their homes. The project sought to develop new methods and concert formats to make cultural experiences accessible to individuals who would have limited access to conventional concert venues, for example. This initiative was a collaboration between ROSA (Dansk Rock Samråd) and Aarhus University, Department of Anthropology, and is supported by The Kirsten and Gunnar Foundation, KoSA, Koda, The Regional Cultural Development Fund, and The Danish Arts Foundation. Some videos were produced in collaboration with Amalie B.M. Andersen from the Department of Anthropology at Aarhus University.
