Each year, the Danish Ethnographic Association (Dansk Etnografisk Forening) honors exceptional communication by presenting the Communication Prize (Formidlingsprisen) to an anthropologist who has skillfully shared their ethnographic insights with the world in an engaging manner. However, in 2020, the global pandemic prevented us from coming together to celebrate both the field of anthropology and the art of good communication. As a result, the Danish Ethnographic Association chose to mark the occasion in a unique way – through a special christmas podcast calendar. Over the course of this podcast, in the company of four esteemed guests, our hosts, Kenni Hede and Katrine Hedegaard Mandrup investigates the essence and understandings of effective, good and engaged anthropological communication and explore its profound impact. Together, they unravel the true meaning and potential of exemplary anthropological communication.
